Number One Heart

about

This is my third demo of what I think will become an EP to be released later this year on my label Little Black Cloud Records. I know the photo with this track is heavy handed goth but the song is about Clover Adams and this is her memorial at Rock Creek Cemetery.

lyrics

Forget today.
Tomorrow, tomorrow.
The knot of existence
quietly endures

Too young to die,
Too old to start anew.
A flex of freedom
paralyzed his number one heart

Clover rests,
bronze dressed,
on a sunny slope
where spring comes early,
and soldiers sleep close by.

Gilded Adam’s
poisoned apple
seated, cloaked.
Form is emptiness. (Emptiness is form)

Clover rests,
bronze dressed,
on a sunny slope
where spring comes early,
and soldiers sleep close by.

about

Ringfinger Richmond, Virginia

Over the span of a decade I wrote and recorded my first full length record with the help of many friends called Decimal in 2008.

I am presently working on a new record.
